You know what you are talking about.
Can you advise me please,. I am still unable to get my send or receive mail
to work.
Regardless of reinstalling my antivirrus and my server info:
pop3 and smtp

Help please!! Here is my error below.

The host 'pop3.broadband.rogers.com' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'pop3.broadband.rogers.com', Server: 'pop3.broadband.rogers.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0D

And HAVE you "verified that you have entered the server name correctly"? The
error message suggests that either the server is down or you haven't entered
the right info.

You appear to have the incorrect server name specified
'pop3.broadband.rogers.com'

Go to tools menu>accounts>select your account>properties>server tab,

Type "pop.broadband.rogers.com" in the Incoming Mail (POP3), Server box.

Type "smtp.broadband.rogers.com" in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server box
 
See the replies of the others. You can go to the website for your ISP and
they should have the correct servernames. Just use what they list for
Outlook Express.
