If you want to see error messages relating to command line
commands then you ***must*** run them in a Command
Shell. Running them from the Run box is useless.

To start a Command Shell, click Start / Run / cmd {OK}.

Up until very recently I had 4 scheduled tasks that ran every morning (1-5
AM). Suddenly they all quit running. Nothing I have tried will make any task
operate correctly with one exception, that is Symantec;s Net Detect which
runs under “NT Authority\System†All these tasks were set up by the program
itself or via the “Scheduled Task Wizardâ€.
Schtasks.exe, if invoked, merely produces a momentary flash of the black
DOS window. Schtasks /query produces the same result.
If I “Start†“Run†“Schtasks†this produces the same result as above.
Temporarily I have set up some shortcuts to BAT files etc to manually do
these jobs when I get up in the morning.
Any helpful suggestions would be most appreciated.

There is little point in continuing with this discussion unless
you adopt the method I recommended in my first response.
