Can any one tell me why the Norton Virus scan does not start at the scheduled
time that I have set.
 
based on the timing of your request and the lack of additional clues, I
would say that you ran into the issue where a FAT32 partition and DST
time change settings conspire to break the password set for task
scheduler. Quick fix is to reset the task and resupply the password.

What exactly did norton say when you asked. This is NOT an XP issue.

It could be a WinXP issue, as Bob said: If the system volume uses FAT32
then all scheduled jobs would fail after the time change at the end of
October.
