Scheduler not working

It just occured to me this evening that the events that I have set up in the
scheduler are not working. I went in to check, and it shows the date it was
set up to run, and it shows the "next" time it's supposed to run (say, every
Friday for my virus scan); but for "last run" it shows "never", and that's
what's happened......it hasn't run since I set it up. How do I get it
running on schedule when it's supposed to?

Your first step should be to examine the Task Scheduler's
log file. It's in the Task Scheduler itself under Advanced.
 
Ok, I checked everything in the scheduler and in services and it looks the
way it should, but the scheduled tasks are not running. Any other
suggestions. I guess I'll try removing them and letting the applications
set them up again and see if that does it.

The PC must be powered up at the time of the scheduled tasks.
 
I guess there might be people that actually don't know that, but yes ....
the box is powered up. It's just not running any of the scheduled tasks.
