I have scanned documents and they go to Word. I do save the documents, but when I go back several days later I can't find them anywhere??? Where do they get filed ?!

They get filed wherever you put them. There's no magic involved. Word
doesn't DO anything here. Just saves your documents in the folder you
select.

You can use search (on the Windows Start menu) to find them ... look for
"*.doc" modified in the past week or so.

It may depend on what kind of scanning software and OCR reader you
use. When I use FineReader, by default it saves the Word files into a
folder under C:\Program Files\FineReader\. So you might check your
scanning and OCR programs for your Word files.
