With my old computer and old Windows and WordPerfect
program I was able to scan TEXT and then edit it. It often
needed a lot of clean-up, but at least I could access the
text. With my new set-up (Dell, Windows XP, and WP10) I
only get .bmp and other images that do not allow TEXT
editing.
QUESTION: How can I edit TEXT from a scanned document?
Thanx,
Bill

Install on OCR (optical character recognition) program. Many scanners
bundle a basic one.
This results in an editable text file.
