I have a large number of fiction stories printed out from
a word processor(Brother) that I need to scan into a
single file for revision. These are multi-page printed
documents. ABBYY FINEREADER SUCKS AND SO DOES THEIR
SUPPORT DIV. I am running XP home ver 5.1 My question is:
does my cpu have anything to do this task. ps I am a
newbie and find it difficult to figure out stuff not in
the help menus. Anyone? Thanks, Bill

Use your existing (or buy/borrow new) scanner, scanner software and its
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software. Full instructions for how
all this works will be provided with the scanner documentation.
