After a clean boot and installing SP2 on my XP Home,I tried to install
my hp scanjet 2200C ,in Safe Mode and other wise,but it tells me :
"The class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this
device."
What can be done to remedy this situation,thanks.

Are you trying to install the scanner software with the scanner connected to
a USB port? If so try removing the scanner and itstalling the software
first.

Got this from this link. It is about USB cameras, but it might apply to USB
scanners.
