Scanner problem in some accounts

Slightly odd one here..

I have a client who does lots of scanning. On certain accounts, they can no
longer scan from any PC. Other accounts can scan from anywhere. I have
deleted the profiles on the local machines but still cannot scan. I tried
uninstalling anc reinstalling the scanning software to no avail. Also, it
will not scan within My Photos.

However, the scanners appear in the Camera and Scanners wizard and
diagnostics will talk to the scanners.

Any ideas please?

Environment is Windows 2003 SBS, Windows XP SP2 fully patched. Canon 8400 or
3200 scanners.

Appols to anyone who has seen this in another thread...

not sure if this will help, but i had a similar issue with XP profiles. I had
to give Read/Write permissions to ALL USERS in the scanner program folder.
Once I did that anyone with any profile could use the scanner.
