I have 2 problems with Windows XP Home edition which I
think are all related to my recent installation of
software for my new DVD Burner and Pinnacle Studio and
WinDVD software.
1. When I click on the Scanner Camera Wizard I receive an
error "The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000034) Click on OK to terminate the application"
So I can no longer access my scanner or access my card
reader or camera.
2. When I look at image files in Windows Explorer and ask
to display foldes with thumbnails, all I get is a generic
Picture and Fax Viewer icon. Then when I right click and
select Preview, nothing happens. I used to get the
previewer.
I tried using the autofix mentioned in many threads at
this newsgroup ...."REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL". When I type
that, i get "LoadLibrary ("SHIMGVM.DLL") failed-The
system cannor find the specified file.
Does anyone know how I can get picture fax viewer and the
scanner camera wizard to work again??
