scandisk keeps running.

When preformig a scandisk windows requests to run it the next time windows
starts. Fine.
It runs, get 98% done stage 5 and reboots, runs again and reboots, runs
again .... you get the idea. Eventually it finishes says everything ok and
reboots, I get a blue screen (fatal error) to quick to read and it, and it
reboots, tells me windows didnot start successfully and should it go into
safe mode etc...

If i select normal it starts the whole scandisk issue again, I f i select
safemode it seems to hang on mup.sys , and if I select last known good
conf... its fine.

Any ideas?

Windows XP does not have scandisk.

If you want to sound even remotely intelligent learn to speak the language.
Learn about your machine.

WINDOWS XP HAS CHKDSK - NOT SCANDISK.
