Scan Disk

Hi,
When I try to run Scan Disk, it will not run and I get an
error message "cannot open volumn for direct access". Any
help would be appreciated.

Are you running ZoneAlarm?
If you are, uninstall it and all will be well.
Don't forget to reinstall it afterwards.
 
Are you using Symantec Antivirus Corporate v9 or zone alarm 5?
