Saving Word Documents to CDRWs

I'm having an issue where whenever I save a Word Document onto a rewritable
CD-rom it reverts the page settings back to the default. If I save the
document as an RTF file the page settings stick, or if I edit the page
settings on my local hard drive and then move the document over the page
settings stick, but the moment I click "Save" from within MS Word 2003 onto
the rewritable CD it changes all the page settings back to defaults. I
should add that any content changes stick no matter how I save it, it's just
the page formatting that snaps back to default. I'm having this problem on
multiple workstations all of which have Windows XP, Office 2003 and Roxio
Easy Media Creator 7 Basic Edition.

Any help or ideas anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated

Hi Isaac

Save the document to your hard drive, and then copy the document file to the
CD.

The reason for doing this is that Word creates, and depends on, temporary
files, which is places in the same folder as the document. The temporary
files can take up more than twice the file space of the document itself. You
don't want those temporary files on your CD, and if the CD runs out of room,
you'll have no end of problem.

Hope this helps.
