Using XP Home SP1, IE 6, trying to "SAVE" a web page. Clicking "SAVE AS" opens the box giving a choice to name the file and the type to save. The DEFAULT extension is ".html" but with the dropdown menu ".txt" can be chosen. Now my question:

Is it possible to make the DEFAULT ".txt" instead of ".html"?

TIA for any help..

Papa Bear, I'm a reckless, stupid old man :) ..... Well, would you be kind enough to give me the procedure or at least a hint or two to get me started tweaking that Registry.

I'll backup the Registry before hand and be real careful ..

Thanks

| Yes but it involves tweaking the Registry. I suggest leaving it alone.
