As I review Word 2003 I find that the "Versions" function
has a glitch. "Versions" of a document are saved
correctly to the hard drive, but when attempting to save
it to a 3 1/2" floppy the "versions" of the file do not
save. Can you help me with this problem?

Don't ever try to save directly to a floppy drive. This is the quickest way
to corrupt your documents. Instead, save to the HD and copy to the floppy
(and do the same in reverse before opening).

Don't try and save to a floppy drive from Word. Always save to the hard
disk and then using Windows Explorer copy the files to a floppy if
necessary. To do otherwise is to court almost certain destruction of your
document.

As Suzanne and Doug said, you should never save directly to a removable
media drive.
Additionally, I strongly recommend that you avoid the Versions function.
This is a known cause of Word file bloat and eventually of document
corruption. An alternative is to do a SaveAs each time you open the file to
make changes, and include in the filename a version number which you
increment each time, e.g., "Mydoc v001.doc", "Mydoc v002.doc", etc.

Chad
