When i save to my desktop, and don't expressly type a file extension, it
saves as an extensionless file type. Saving to subfolders on the desktop has
the same problem, but saving to any other folder on the computer preserves
the file type.
To clarify, when saving occurs, the proper file type is selected under the
save as type drop down menu. This happens no matter what program is used to
save (that has the windows file/save dialog).
This problem exists whether the file was saved to the desktop proper, or
saved via navigating through documents and settings\user name\desktop.
Testing on another user on this same computer does not have this problem.
