Steve

When i try to save a powerpoint file to CD i get the
following message

you do not have access to the folder "E\" see your
administrator for access to this folder.

I can copy the file to the CD using drag and drop but
then the files become read only files. i have tried
unchecking the read only box but this makes no difference

i am the only user account on the PC.

can anybody give me a way to correct this

You should not be able to save directly from Office to your CD. (Powerpoint
to CD)
And when you write to a CD (CD-RW, CD-R, whatever) it DOES become Read Only.
