Is there a way to download the MS XP patches without using XP's built in
Windows Update, or be able to save the downloaded files for use on a
re-install or another local computer?

Thanks,
J

I can't locate the ones that show up with XP's built-in update manager.
Also there are a lot of Net Framework ones.

Actually,
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.aspx?ln=en
takes me to v6 and not able to save files.
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/default.asp - I can
do a search for the ones that XP prompts me for, then download them
to a directory on my hard drive which, once I have them all (to
date), I'll burn them to CD for POST SP2 patches.

Follow the link I gave you, and you can download all patches that are
needed since SP2.
