saving pictures as jpgs?!!?

why does my machine now only allow me to save any picture from the internet
as a .bmp file? Jpeg is not available in the list of possible types for
save as.

any help would be appreciated

I deleted those files in Downloaded Program Files folder and now it works
well ...
