Saving Outlook07 message as file without also creating a folder

When I save an email message as a file I end up with a folder created with
the same name as the subject line and also the message is saved as html.
I don't want the folder created but just to save the message as a file.
How can I avoid the duplication?
 
these are html messages? you could save as plain text - but if you save as a
html, you'll get those extra files. I don't know of any way to disable them.
