saving onto cd-r

when i try and copy my fotos onto a cd-r it keeps saying wizard cant complete, yet if i copy them onto a cd-rw it does it please help i am only a novice so this is really driving me mad as it would copy them before and now it wont HELP!!!!!
 
What are you using to burn your CD's? The burning software provided in
Windows XP is limited. You would be better off using something like Nero or
Roxio. Are you burning the CD as a data disk or using packet writing
software which treats the disk as a huge floppy? Remember that with a CD -
R disk, you can not rewrite over previous tracks or sessions. With a CD -
RW disk, you can.
