Saving messages in Outlook 2007 also creates a new folder

I just upgrade to Office 2007 - so I'm still learning the ins and outs of the
programs. My current problem is that when I save a message from Outlook it
not only creates the HTML file, but also creates a new folder with the same
name, but it adds "_files" at the end of the new folder name. I opened one
of these folders and it contains three files - colorschememapping, filelist
and themedata. I don't like the fact that it does this since it is taking up
unneccessary space. How do I set it so it just saves the message without
creating this additional folder?

Let me understand, you say you're saving emails from Outlook as in saving
files OUTSIDE of Outlook? So you're performing File > Save As to specific
emails and saving them separately from Outlook?
