saving individual worksheet

When I save in Excel, how do I save individual worksheets separately? Even
when I save Worksheet 3, when I open it, it shows up as Worksheet 1. Any
clues what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help. I'm a newbie (shocker!).

This is not typical, so how are you saving the individual worksheet? What
steps do you take?
 
After I copy and paste to Worksheet 3, I go to File/Save As and put
Worksheet 3. When I reopen it, it's not there.
 
It sounds to me as if you are calling the workbook Worksheets3.

What are your worksheets called, what are you copying and pasting? If it's
all done in VBA, give us the code to look over.
 
I named the worksheet 3 "parties". So when I take names and addresses from
the first worksheet, copy & paste them to "parties" worksheet, they
disappear when I go back to that sheet. I don't know about codes.
