<<"I HAVE SAVED A TEMPLATE IN THE FOLDER">>
Just exactly how did you accomplish this "saving" ?
Normally, when you go to save an XL document as a template, you expand the
"SaveAsType" box, at the bottom of the "SaveAs" window, and select
<Template(*.xlt)>, *before* you click SAVE.
XL then automatically saves the file to YOUR *systems* template folder, on
your C:\ drive. This *systems* template folder is found in different
locations in different flavors of XL
This file should have been assigned an .xlt extension *and* should become
available in the <Files> <New> <General> tab window.
The <SpreadSheetSolutions> tab of the <Files> <New> window is usually *not*
stored in YOUR *systems* template folder, but in MICROSOFT'S *systems*
folder.
SO ... what exactly did you do to get it to save to MS's folder ?
