saving downloads to my files

i have windows xp.if i right click on a song im trying to download it only
says,open,open in new window,or copy link.it doesn't say "save as" like it
should,and let me pick what file i want to put it in.if i open it,it
automatically goes to a temp file.i dont want them to go to a temp file,i
want them to go to a file that i made.how could i solve this problem?

Try a Shift/Right-click. That might add the Save option. It's also
possible the site has blocked the Save options. Please post a link
example so we can see the problem for ourselves.
