I am trying to create a database on my home computer and
then save it so I can bring it to work. When I go to
SAVE, it just asks me what I want to name the database.
It does not give me the option of where to save it. Can
anyone help?

Thanks,
Tom

An Access database is not like a document or a spreadsheet. It's a
*container* for multiple objects. Therefore you can't "save" it.

If you want to take it home, just close Access and use Windows
Explorer or My Computer to copy it to a portable disk. Note that
copying it to a CD will mark it read-only - you'll need to view its
Properties in Windows Explorer and uncheck the read-only textbox after
you copy it back to your hard disk.
