saving auto calc data to the original table

I am trying to figure out how to save an auto calculated field off my access
form back to the table. I am asking because i use the table data to populate
a query that uses that auto calc data as the main criteria. Is this possible
to do or is there a better way?
 
You can use the query result as criteria in another query.
Post some more details of what you are doing.

There is; just do the calculation in a calculated field in the query in the
first place! You can base a form on the query to display it, use the
calculated field for criteria, etc.
