saving as ebooks in .lit format would be good

I use word 2003 student edition and it would be nice if I could save in an e
book format such as .lit to make e books. I also use the text to speech mode
and notice that it does not read out the whole document.
 
I do not see that this would work for 2003 only previous versions.
