When I save any Word document I cannot open it again. Somehow when I click on the Word Document supposedly saved, I find that the PictureIt progam comes on and I get a message that the file cannot be opened. How does this file get to Picture It when I save it to MY Documents? I have been trying all week to find the solution but cannot. I am totally frustrated. I would appreciate any help

Try this

1. Go to My Documents. Select a document.
2. Right click your mouse button. You will get a drop down menu
3. Choose Open with
4. You should see the Word logo. click on it. if Not
5. In the Drop Down Menu that comes up with Open With, click on Choose Program
6. Click on the Word Logo.

That should do it.

Cheers and Best of Luck

Ginny: A long term solution

1. Go to My Documents
2. When you get to a document name, right click your mouse button
3. In the dropdown menu, select Properties
4. Under General tab, you will see the Type of file and Opens with
5. Opens with should show the Word Logo. If not , go to chnage program and choose word.

Cheers
