Saved document on desktop

When I first press Start and open my deskdop I get a saved document on top of my Desktop. I guess at some earlier time 1/2004 when I was scanning this document it was saved but I do not know how it got on top of my Desktop

Please help me. Please email me the steps necessary to delete this document from my desktop.
 
right click on it, and move it to your (my documents)
then go back and delete it from the desk top.
