Saved a full .mpp as a full .mdb, it added 60,000 to the hours?

In MS-Project when I performed a 'File Save As...' to a MS-Access (.mdb)
database for the full file, it looks like 60,000 was added to all the hours
fields. Such as work, actual hours, remaining work. Is this common ?

Certainly not. Something's really peculiar!

What's the point of saving a different .mdb file? A database isn't really like
a document; it's a container for multiple tables, forms, etc. What exactly did
you do? Is the data still correct in the original database (or did you even
keep the original database?)

Whoa. What's a .mpp? I'm not versed in MS Project. Perhaps the definition of a
date/time field is different in Project than in Access; what's the datatype of
this/these field(s) in Project and in Access?

Just fwiw, durations should NOT be stored in date/time fields in Access.
Date/Time fields are suitable for specific points in time; durations should be
stored as a number, a count of seconds, minutes, hours or whatever time unit
is appropriate.

Microsoft warns of formatting changes when exporting to some programs
including their own, try the project news group. Looking at the number you
posted it is probably how project stores it.
