save to cd-r not dvd+r

Ive finished making a movie on wmm however it'll save to cd not dvd. i want to watch the movie on tv but it won't work.
 
The CD-R's created by Movie Maker aren't in a format that current DVD
players will play. The will play on your PC and are useful for sending to
friends with PC's

To create VCDs or DVDs that will playback on a current DVD player check-out
