Hi all,
Some of my users my document folders have FDR*.tmp files being created with
0 bytes. We have the users My document folders redirected to their home
drive on the server (server 2003) through group policy. For some reason only
certain users are geting the FDR*.tmp files and we can not figure out why
thye are syncing correctly?

Ok, I found out why I am getting the tmp files. Everytime we try to save a
document it will go offline and give us the following error message "The save
failed due to the out of memory or disk space." We have two servers that we
dedicate for user folders. One has 29.2 GB left out of 273 GB of hard drive
space and 4 GB of memory. The other has 52.4GB of space left out of 124GB
and 4GB of memory. We do not know why only these people go off line when they
save word documents.

My guess would be they have changed their 'working folder' location.
Change the default working folder

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the File Locations tab.
In the File types list, click Documents.
Click Modify.
To select an existing folder to display as the default working folder
(working folder: The folder in which your documents appear when you open or
save them. If you select another folder when opening or saving, that folder
becomes the working folder. You can set the startup location of this folder
in most Office applications.), locate and click the folder you want in the
folder list.
