When I email a database using Outlook - I have to change the extension from
..mdb to .old in order to sent it - I have not been able to "Save As" files
of type etc. I presently Attach it to the email as .mdb and change it that
way. However this does not work with Outlook Express (other users) - There
must me another way that I do not know about. - Can someone Help.

this sounds to me like you need to come up with a better plan to share
your data.
emailing Jet is not reccomended, due to the security restrictions.

All good email systems use security enhancements which forbid sending any
executable files, or receiving them. In order to deal with this, and
especially with larger files like databases, it is advisable to use a
zipping program. That will compress the size to roughly 20% of what it was
and allow sending without a problem. If you don't have WinZip (my favorite
because it allows encrypting as well) try 1 of the free programs like 7-zip:

btw, could you rename the extension before uploading?

I know that many email servers would still be able to detect the
mimeType of this and not allow the attachment..

btw, you in Seattle? Recognize the name.. ;)

I do use the WinZip, I also change the extension - it sound like it is not
necessary to change the extension.

Thanks for the info.
