"Save As..." problem

Hi there.
I've got a problem with "Save As..." option in all win2000 apps. When I'm clicking Save As, the window closes without asking me where to save item. Its very annoying couse i cant save any work ie. in Word, Excel or Outlook. Sometimes I'm able to find a backup copy of my documet but most of times its just gone.
What is the couse of it and how to fix it.

I've got Norton AV installed and running all the time so i think thats not a virus. Anyway thanks for a try.
 
I still mean what I wrote. Your problem is sufficiently exotic to raise the
suspicion of a virus infection. Get a second opinion and scan it with
something other than NAV.
