"Save as" (infinite) loop

A user has an Outlook client that when opened immediately prompts the user to
save the newest email as a file. Clicking save completes the action (that
file is written to disk), but the "save as" dialog box remains. We're stuck
in this pattern without a resolution.

A setting may have been changed. The user was working with their fonts and
changed some items in:

Tools | Options | Mail Format

Specifically in "HTML" format...

Sounds more like the user was playing with some macros or addins. From your
story it impossible to tell what to do since you didn't include any
configuration information. Start with starting Outlook in Outlook Safe Mode;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

Make sure the F12 key isn't being held down. Just ran into the same thing. User had the key pressed down .
