save all email addresses

Question makes no sense. Outlook has no address book. Anything you see there
already exists in one of your Contacts Folders or you wouldn't see it.
So what do you need to save and what makes you think you need to do so?

I actually have a macro that I got from Sue Mosher's Code page
or article or ... somewhere. Anyway, what it does is when you
run it, it will kinda crawl through your inbox and copy all of the
SMTPs into an Excel sheet ( I think, it's been a while). You could
then use the excel to import those back into your contacts in
Outlook.

Does this sound like what you are wanting?

Gosh, sometimes I go way out on field. There is an easier
answer to this, You can just:

- Open the message
- Right Click on the FROM field
- Select ADD TO CONTACTS from the quick menu

I see now your question contains fractured syntax.
Please clarify it.

I wish to perform automatically this procedure for about 1,200 emails:
- Open the message
- Right Click on the FROM field
- Select ADD TO CONTACTS from the quick menu

If you mean how can you save the address of the person from whom you received an email, all you have to do is right click and add to contact list - that will not add the person to your address book, but it will be added to your contact list in Outlook. At least, this is what I do.

How can I save all email addresses received in the address book?
Thanks.

Just so no one gets confused by your post, you are mistaken.
There is no address book in Outlook. The address book in Outlook is a view
of your Contacts. So if you add an address to your Contacts, you add it to
the address book view as well.

Point taken - bottom line you can save the address of a person from an email and it goes somewhere - there is NO address book, but a contact list will do the trick just the same..hence you can view the addresses.

The only thing I said that may be off-base (which I don't think so myself) is "that will not add the person to your address book, but it will be added to your contact list in Outlook."

I would not say 'mistaken' but rather using the wrong terms? ;-)
Either way, no one helped the guy out from back in April....at least I got your attention LOL
