Satellite input?

I'm trying to find out if this can be done and how.I'd like to take an output
from my tv satellite reciever and input it the the sound card to be able to
play or record music.Can this be done and how?
Any advice on how to do this appreciated.

You need a "Y" cable. Dual RCA on one end and 1/8" stereo jack on the other.
 
I haven't time to try this yet.Once I wire this up,will windows media player
recognize this new input for music?Do I have to reconfigure anything?
I hoping I can try this soon.
