SATA Drives not recognised in "My Computer"

I've just reloaded XP Home and Service Pack 2 on my computer, and although
the RAID Controller and SATA Drives are shown as working correctly in BIOS,
and Device manager, the drive does not appear in My Computer. The RAID
management software also works in Windows and shows both attached drives to
be functioning, so I'm sure there is no electrical or physical problem.

I've tried uninstalling the drives and RAID Controller (an SII 3112) using
Device manager, physically removing the drives by detaching the SATA cables,
and reformatting my C: drive, reloading Windows from CD, and reinstalling the
controller, and software drivers. All apears to go well but the drives do not
appear in My Computer and hence the RAID array is not accesible.

My system is:

Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
AMD Athlon 2800+
1 off 120 GB Western Digital Dric=ve C:
2 off 120 GB SATA drives
1 GB DDR RAM

You used the F6 option to install third party drivers (Sil driver) from
floppy during the reinstall?

The driver came on an installation CD, so after installing Windows, I
uninstalled the SiI RAID controller, rebooted and the computer loaded the
drivers off the CD. Device Manager tells me both ther drives and RAID
controller are functioning perfectly.

THey are partitoned and formnatted?

Do they show up in Disk Management, though?
Start>Run> diskmgmt.msc

They are partitioned and formatted and contain a lot of data. Thanks for the
tip about diskmgmt.msc, that's a new one to me. They don't show up there!

They're formatted as NTFS??
