sasser worm update

i am trying to update my computer with the latest
critical update for the sasser virus. it downloads
successfully but will not install sucessfully, can anyone
help me?

Nicola: I had the same problem when I tried to download the update from the main page for the update center. (that's the page that searches for all the updates that apply to you, and you remove the ones you dont want, etc.) I rebooted, went back to Microsoft.com and did a site search there for 835732 (the number of the update). This took me straight to a page just for that update, and there's a download button there on the upper right. The download from there is longer than from the other page - it's about 21 minutes - but it installed itself fine for me. Good luck this worm is vicious.
