This executable, samskp, appears in my startup list in msconfig. If I uncheck
it and try to reboot, my system goes to a black screen right after the
windows login screen appears. I can reboot in diagnostic mode but it appears
to be loaded in memory ie. when I try to delete the file in the
c:\windowsystem32 folder, it denies me. I rebooted into safe mode with
command prompt and I was finally able to erase it. Does anyone know what this
file is? spyware or a virus maybe? I've run Spysweeper & an on-line virus
program and neither one picks this up.
