Sample size formula

Someone showed me a calculation to determine sample size using formula =sample size(x1,x2,x3,....). I couldn't find any "sample size" formula. Am using Excel 2002. Pls help.

this is not a build-in function but probably a user defined function (a
macro). So you need this macro code to get this function to work
