i have the following questions:

I have 2 stand alone W2k Server Members of the same WorkGroup.
There is the account user1/123 opened on both machines( in other words both
machines have an account with same username and same password ). while logged
with this account user on one machine can access resourses on second machine
( \\machine1\share_folder and \\machine2\share_folder2 ) without any
additional authontication.

My first question: is there ane way to prevent this situation without
changing users password ?

My second question: is this scenario working on domains whose don't have any
trust between. if yes, is there any way to prevent this situation too ???

Change the NTFS permissions on the share/folder you wish so that the local
user account doesn't have rights to whatever they shouldn't have rights to.

Sure -
if yes, is there any way to prevent this
situation too ???

Same advice. Set the security you wish.
