Each time I reboot my XP system the same explorer window opens with same
directory files showing. I cannot seem to turn this off and I don't know
how it was turned on. Any suggestions.

Problem solved, It seems to be the Nero directory that pops due to the
Nerobackup utility used to schedule backups. Anyone know a switch to turn
off the directory from popping and still run the program. If not I'll use
another backup program.
Thanks

Track down the location where the call for the Nero utility is coming from.
Start> Run> MSCONFIG> Startup has a "Location" column that lists this
information. It can also be seen in System Information> Software
Environment> Startup Programs. This will probably lead back to one of the
RUN keys in the registry.

Most likely the entry contains a path that is missing some quote marks.
Paths with long file names and/or spaces need to be enclosed in quotes.
Check the key carefully. Sometimes there is an opening quote mark but
no closing mark. Edit the command as necessary.

Example:
Change: C:\Program Files\Ahead Software\Nero\whatever.exe
To: "C:\Program Files\Ahead Software\Nero\whatever.exe"
