KB823980 - Setup error

Setup could not verify the integrity of the file
update.inf. Make sure Crytographic service is running.

I've check, it's running. I've downloaded patch for
Blaster but it's affecting the install with the above
error. What do we need to do??????

I'm getting the same error message. How do you check to

see if "Crytographic service is running". Please email me
if you find a solution that works. Thanks, Warren

Are YOU getting the following error when you try to install Windows XP
Service Pack 1?
"Service Pack 1 Setup Error:
Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the
Cryptographic service is running on this computer"
Or
YOU are trying to install the Windows XP security patch 823980 - in
response to the msblast.exe worm and you are getting a similar error
message.
