I have never set the administrator password or logged on
as the admin. At boot up I hit
ctrl-alt-del twice, typed in administrator, left the
password blank, and it says it can't log me in. I went
to Local Security Settings to make sure event logging was
turned off on all events, and it was.
So it looks like my only choice is to change the admin
password. I typed lusrmgr.msc, selected, users,
adminstrators, and when I go to change the password it
gives me this warning:
"This user account will immediately lose access to all of
its encrypted files, stored passwords, and personal
security settings." I have no encrypted files so that
isn't a problem.
BUT will changing this password effect security settings
or passwords for any of my other accounts that have admin
rights?
Thank you
