I too am having the same problem - and I have made sure that all th
programs and such that I may have been using on the external drive hav
been closed - I tried stopping the device later for a couple of hours.
I wonder if the Norton thing may be the problem - have you heard fro
anyone regarding this problem? I am new to this group and am hoping t
get an answer. I hate to keep turning the external hard drive off afte
the computer has shut down, when the "device has not been safel
removed...."
Thanks and glad to see that I am not the only one that is having thi
