"Safely Remove Hardware" not always showing up...

Hello all,

Every now & then, when I insert my USB Flash drive, the "Safely Remove
Hardware" does not always show up in the system tray.

Is there any way that I can manually get it to show up? Is there a process
(or other executable) that I can start to get this to show up?

A common problem.
The best way is when the login screen comes up is to wait a few seconds for
hard drive activity to finish before logging in.
That works for me anyway.
