(Safely remove hardware Icon) appears on the right side
of the taskbar. When I double click on the Icon, it
display a dialog box Showing" Alcatel Speech touch usb
adsl ppp". It's my USB speed touch modem.
It's there anyway I could remove this irritating icon?
Under microsoft knowledege base there's one article
number 227855 regarding on this issue. It says: do not
use the unplug or eject hardware tool while installing
hardware device. The icon on the right side of the
taskbar appears for a brief time while windows configure
the USB devices and then disappears after the device
installation. It's not true at all, as far as I know
this "safely remove icon" had been at the taskbar for
nearly half a year and it just wouldn't go off.
