Are the contents of these folders on a Win2K server safe to delete?
winnt\system32\spool\drivers..
Absolutely not, unless you're willing to make a buttload of
registry edits.
winnt\system32\dllcache..
This is where Win2K's Windows File Protection retrieves
original system files if another app overwrites them. You do
have control over the amount of disk space Windows will
use for this cache. Start/Run/gpedit.msc and go to Computer
Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Windows
File Protection/Limit WFP cache size. Enable the policy
and enter the number of MB you want to use.
After changing this option, remove all files in this folder (do
NOT remove the folder itself) and reboot. Windows will
rebuild it during the reboot.
winnt\driver cache\i386..
Not sure about this one. I believe this is where Win2K
goes to locate original drivers, if user-specified drivers are
not installed. If that's true, it's definitely not a good idea to
delete the contents of this folder.
